Psychologists in New Zealand
If you would like to work with a clinical psychologist, the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists has a useful website, including search criteria to find a suitable therapist. There you will find psychologists throughout New Zealand, specialising in a range of evidence based clinical approaches.

It is not uncommon to experience several difficulties at once. If any of the following are present, important, and pressing right now, it is important to focus on those. If you experience some of the symptoms listed below, please contact your doctor and / or the services listed here:
Moderate to severe depression

If you are experiencing symptoms of depression that are moderate to severe - impacting on your life significantly - please talk to your doctor, or contact 1737 (available 24 hours a day) for support and referral to relevant services.
Suicidal ideation or self-harm

Please note that I do not start therapy when people are at risk due to suicidal thoughts or urges to self-harm.

If you feel at risk of self-harm or suicide, talk to your doctor (non-urgent) or contact 1737 (24 hours a day) for support and referral to support services.
